It's hard to believe after certain DC titles reached landmark issue #'s, such as action, batman, wonder woman, etc. that they are going to completely start over. I understand they are constantly trying to reach new readers, and I realize it will take new readers to sustain the comic industry in the future but what about the loyal readers that are the pillars of the industry now. Marvel tried to relaunch/renumber the whole universe only to have to go back to the original numbers. I think the new creative teams are amazing and the books will probably be alot of fun but why renumber, why kill so much great history. I would be happier to see DC do an ultimate type line if they are that adamant about rewriting character history. They fail to realize the kids today don't read, probably can't read, and they are never going to put down a video game, phone, or computer to pick up a comic book. It's not going to happen so the only thing they do is upset long time fans that have so much invested in these characters and their history. I'm all about the company doing whatever they need to do to find new markets and create new growth but first and foremost should be catering to the readers that have been here since the 60's, 70's, 80's, and even 90's. If it wasn't for us being so die hard crazy about comics you wouldnt exist in the first place.
